TruLight Biker

The TruLight Biker is a small, lightweight, LED light designed specifically for the exacting requirements of night mountain bikers. There are a number of features that have been included after extensive consultation with local mountain biker community.

With many bike lights, a failure can leave you in complete blackout at speed (not good). The TruLight Biker has been designed with two semi-independent circuits to minimise the chance of a complete failure. The system includes two batteries, extra cabling and two sets of LED's in the same housing.

We have tried a number of configurations and have found that a combination of 12º and 18º lenses gives a good forward penetration and peripheral illumination. (9º, 35º and 40ºx9.5º lenses are available on request.

The batteries are small lightweight Lithium Ion to reduce the weight.

We have used the latest LED technology to provide extra long lamp life, immunity from shock and longer battery life.

The complete system including batteries and connectors are water resistant to allow for rain and river crossings.

		Low (10 lumens) only 2 LED's with 18deg optics on for camping. Medium (200 lumens) for uphill riding. High (750 lumens) for downhill riding.

	Li-Ion batteries have the best energy-to-weight ratios, no memory effect, and a slow loss of charge when not in use.
